Carpenter's son ranks 4th in fisheries technologist board exam

ILOILO - A graduate of Iloilo State College of Fisheries made it to the top 10 of October 2017 Fisheries Technologist Licensure Examination.

Jomel Limbago, 21, of Barangay Imbang Pequeño, San Enrique ranked fourth in the exam with a rate of 86 percent. He is a son of a carpenter.

Limbago is a scholar of the Iloilo provincial government.

He dedicates his achievement to his family and hopes to look for a job immediately to help them.

The results were released Monday wherein 479 out of 1,399 passed the examination given by the Board of Fisheries in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

University of the Philippines-Visayas-Iloilo City is this year's top performing school with a passing rate of 98.97 percent.
