MANILA - Motorists took to social media to air their grievances and concerns amid reports that cars carrying only the driver will be banned from EDSA during rush hour.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced Tuesday that the Metro Manila Council has approved the high occupancy vehicle (HOV) scheme where "only those vehicles with two or more passengers would have the privilege to traverse EDSA."
The MMDA has yet to announce when it will begin implementing the scheme, but the news already received violent reactions from motorists.
While some netizens took the issue lightly, there were some who pointed out serious problems the proposed scheme will bring.
Here are some of the reactions on both Twitter and Facebook.
