The Philippine senior men's football team went four places up in the FIFA men's world rankings following a tough match against Yemen in the AFC Asian Cup qualification stage last week.
The Azkals, 127th previously, are now ranked No. 123. The Philippines achieved its best-ever ranking in May 2016 at 115th place.
The Philippines is the highest-ranking country in the Southeast Asian region, followed by Vietnam (130), Thailand (137) and Myanmar (152).
The Azkals recently held Yemen to a 2-2 draw and remained undefeated in Group F of the AFC Asian Cup qualification stage with 7 points on three victories.
