The Philippines lost to China 76-57 to settle for fourth place in the FIBA Under 18 Asian Championship at Stadium 29 in Bangkok on Saturday.
Batang Gilas finished the tournament with a 3-2 record, their other defeat inflicted by Australia in the quarterfinals Friday.
Kai Sotto led the Philippines with 16 points, while AJ Edu contributed 14.
China, which lost 73-63 to the Philippines in their preliminary-round game, turned the tables on coach Josh Reyes and co. in the rematch.
Behind 4-0 to start the game, China launched a 12-0 run get in front before methodically taking control.
Meanwhile, Australia won the gold by beating New Zealand 72-63.
