NCAA: Emilio Aguinaldo wins 2 in a row; Jose Rizal drops to 0-6

Arellano University has defeated Jose Rizal University 79-70 in NCAA men's basketball at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Friday.

Maui Sera scored a career-high 17 points to lead the Chiefs, who evened their win-loss record to 3-3. 

The Heavy Bombers lost their sixth straight.

In the first game, Emilio Aguinaldo College downed Mapua University 89-85 for the Generals' second straight win.

Making late-game free throws turned out to be the difference, as EAC (2-4) sank 5 from the free-throw line to ice the win.

Hamadou Laminou tallied 17 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks.

Mapua fell to 2-5.
