Kobe Paras immediately made an impact in the 2017 FIBA 3x3 World Cup in France after leading Team Philippines to an upset victory over Romania in their first game of the competition.
Paras is the youngest player in the tournament at 19, but showed no fear against more experienced competitors. He had 12 points in their tournament opener against Romania, including the free throw that sealed the 21-15 win.
He only mustered three points in a 21-11 loss to France, but was still impressive enough to earn Player of the Day honors.
His behind-the-back move against Romania in particular drew oohs-and-ahhs from the crowd and stunned even the commentators.
Paras is teaming up with Kiefer Ravena, Jeron Teng, and JR Quinahan in the 3x3 tournament.
