Jonas "Zorro" Sultan busies himself in training even as he awaits the formal announcement of his title fight against world junior bantamweight champion Jerwin Ancajas.

ALA boxing coach Edito Villamor, who oversees the boxer's training, said Sultan has been consistently working out since they already expect the April 14 mandatory fight against Ancajas coming.

"Palagi pa rin nagte-training, sinusundan ang program lalo na sa conditioning," said Villamor, who visited Manila on Wednesday together with world flyweight champion Donnie Nietes and ALA Boxing promoter Michael Aldeguer.

"Tinitignan na namin ang mga laban ni Ancajas especially 'yung last fight, hinahanap 'yung mga weakness."

Sultan earned a mandatory-opponent status after pulling off a unanimous decision upset against former 2-division world champion Johnriel Casimero last September.

Before that, he knocked out former lineal flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro in May.

The victory over Casimero set him up for an all-Filipino world title clash against Ancajas, which will be the first in nearly 100 years.

Although Villamor knows the historical significance of the bout, he said this doesn't bear much on Sultan.

"No pressure 'yun sa kanya," he said. "Ganun pa rin pa rin ang attitude niya."

He said what motivates Sultan is that he will be coming in as the underdog.

"Gusto niya underdog siya palagi, tulad nung lumaban siya kay Sonny Boy Jaro at kay Casimero," said Villamor.
