LOOK: 10 celebrities who will launch books at MIBF 2017

MANILA -- This year's Manila International Book Fair (MIBF), which opens Wednesday, will feature some of the country’s biggest showbiz stars who are set to launch their books at the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.

The annual MIBF, whch runs until Sunday, showcases a varied collection of literature, including books written by and dedicated to local celebrities. Here are some of them:

1. It's Like This (Boy Abunda)

The TV host’s second book features more than 100 “Abundable thoughts,” on a wide range of topics like management and hosting. The “King of Talk” will have a meet and greet event on opening day, September 13.

2. "Akin Lang Naman" (Gloc-9)

In his first collection of poetry, Aristotle Pollisco, better known as rapper Gloc-9, crafts his lyrics into poetry verses. He will perform his hit songs and conduct book signing session on Friday, September 15. Photo from @glocdash9 on Instagram

3. "Vlogger Girl Problems" (Elisse Joson and McCoy de Leon)

The McLisse love team of McCoy De Leon and Elisse Joson will launch their book, "Vlogger Girl Problems," which is part of a “Mangaserye Book Series” of Korean and Japanese inspired love stories. The two will have a meet and greet session on Saturday. Photo from @elissejosonn on Instagram

4. "Bakit Nakakakiliti ang Bigote" (Empoy Marquez)

Aimed at entertaining readers, expect the unexpected as Empoy Marquez brings his unique brand of humor in this book. Fans can join the "Kita Kita" star in his meet and greet session on Saturday, September 16. Photo from @empoy on Instagram

5. "Sugar & Spice" (BFF5)

Young actresses Andrea Brillantes, Ylona Garcia, Maris Racal, Loisa Andalio, and Kira Balinger, collectively known as BFF5, are set to launch their first-ever book, which is a new manual for teens. 6. "Pedro Penduko: The Legend Begins" and "Team Real" (James Reid)

After being tapped as the new Pedro Penduko for an upcoming film adaptation, the Kapamilya star will grace this year’s MIBF for the book signing of Peter Basinillo’s popular komiks. 7. "100 Tula Para Kay Stella" (Jason Paul Laxamana) and "100 Tula ni Bela" (Bela Padilla)

8. "Jump In" (Julian Trono and Ella Cruz)

The “Fan Girl/ Fan Boy” stars give their fans an in-depth look into their personal stories with exclusive photos and other surprise treats on Sunday.

9. "The Force Within" (G-Force’s Teacher Georcelle)

10. "Mommy Dear: Our Special Love" (Candy Pangilinan)
