MANILA - Miss Universe 1999 first runner-up Miriam Quiambao revealed that she is pregnant at 43 years old.
The former beauty queen took to social media to share the good news.
On Sunday, Quiambao posted a photo of her sonogram taken late last month.
"Thanking God for the miracle of life and for answering our prayers," she wrote in her caption, adding that she and husband Christian motivational speaker and author Roberto “Ardy” Roberto have been praying for the past 4 years for her to get pregnant.
Quiambao tied the knot with Roberto in March 2014.
Quiambao shared that they have considered adopting or conceiving through in vitro fertilization (IVF) to have a child.
"But Praise God who is the author of miracles and the creator of life! By His grace, He rewarded our faith with the greatest gift: a baby conceived naturally!!!" she added.
