The 2017 Korean Product Festival kicked off last July 14 at SM Aura SMX Convention Center in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The event featured various Korean products and services to promote the country' culture. More than 20 companies including Mijin Cosmetics, Charmzone, Hanmirae Food, Penguin NSF Co., Ltd., among many others, participated in the three-day event.

Fans also had the chance to see K-pop idol and Offroad member Park Harang during the festival, which aims to encourage Korean investors to enter the Philippine market, build partnership with businesses in the Philippines, and to promote Korean companies.

Last week, the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) invited Korean music lovers to the S. WITH Saxophone Quartet Asia Tour in Manila.

S. WITH is a saxophone quartet consisting of musicians Yohan Yeo (soprano saxophone), SooRyong Kim (alto saxophone), Youngheon Choi (tenor saxophone), and Wonjin Jang (baritone saxophone).

The group performed various music genres from classical and jazz to K-pop. One notable song they performed was "Imagine" by John Lennon, which they picked because of its message about peace.

After the concert, audience members were free to take pictures with the members. The group's final Manila show was held last July 15 at Shangri-La Plaza.

MOVING KOREA

Aside from the concert tour, the KCC also mounted the "Moving Korea" art exhibition, which opened last June 8 and featured 18 modern kinetic and interactive artworks of nine contemporary artists from Korea.

Each interactive art displayed different kinds of patterns and movements.

The KCC's next event is the 2017 Global Taste of Korea Guidelines, which will be held at Lyceum of the Philippines University - Culinary Institute on July 29, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
