MANILA - (UPDATED) Check out some of the latest news and promos in the local food scene.

These are not endorsed by ABS-CBN News.

1. TWG marks World Macaron Day

TWG Tea rolls out a unique icy twist to the traditional confection for World Macaron Day.

The limited edition TWG Tea Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich features meringue shells made with almond powder and egg whites, infused with luxury tea blends and filled with Valrhona white or dark chocolate ice cream. Priced at P90 per piece, these are available for dine-in at all TWG Tea Salons in Philippines until May 31.

TWG Tea Salons & Boutiques are located at Greenbelt 5, Shangri-La Plaza, Central Square, and S Maison Conrad.

2. Chef Josh Boutwood creates new dishes for Italianni's

Bistro Group corporate executive chef Josh Boutwood has created a new menu at Italianni's featuring global fusion dishes.

Tandoori chicken, one of India's signature dishes, is made into a delicious topping for the Italianni's Tandoori Chicken Pizza with chunks of marinated roasted chicken, red onion, fresh cilantro, and minted yogurt.

Vietnam, meanwhile, was the inspiration for the Saigon Vongole (in photo), with fresh Manila clams and mussels steeped in fragrant Vietnamese broth.

From Japan, there's the Okonomiyaki Pizza with mozzarella, gouda, bacon, crabsticks, cabbage, Japanese mayo, barbecue sauce, and katsuobushi. Another is Uni Carbonara, or fresh sea urchin spaghetti with smoked pancetta and edamame beans in a creamy sauce topped with roasted nori.

The Smoked Fish Strascinati Al Olio uses al dente artisanal pasta made with hot smoked milkfish, garlic, olives, sundried tomatoes, and extra virgin olive oil.

"Creations by Chef Josh" is available until June 2018 at all Italianni's branches, except in Cebu and Cagayan de Oro.

3. Ramen is back at Watam

The ramen is back on the Watami menu, this time with two new flavors.

For those who love Watami's original ramen, go for the Tonkotsu Chasu Ramen with a pork broth-based soup served with pork chashu, onion leeks, spring onions, and flavored egg topped with black sesame oil.

Those who want a bit of "a kick and a punch" can try the Spicy Miso Ramen, a combination of pork chashu, onion leeks, spring onions, flavored egg, and homemade chili oil in a piping hot miso and pork broth.

Each is priced at P395. Bring your Bistro Card and enjoy 30% discount during Mondays, and 20% off on Tuesdays to Sundays.

4. Denny's opens in Cebu

After successfully launching its first Philippine branch at the Uptown Mall in 2016, Denny’s has since opened branches from Trinoma in Quezon City to Vista Mall in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

And now, it's at Robinsons Galleria in Cebu City.

Denny's recommends the Original Grand Slam -- two buttermilk pancakes, two bacon strips, two sausages, and two eggs -- and Moons Over My Hammy, the restaurant’s classic ham and scrambled egg sandwich with Swiss and American cheeses on toast and served with fries.

There's also the Choco Overload Peanut Butter Pancake served with two eggs and bacon, and Denny’s skillets with your choice of Chicken Enchilada, Bourbon Chicken, Sausage and Pepper, Cajun Shrimp, and Breakfast Skillet.
