BAGUIO CITY -- It's Valentine's Day once again and some chefs in Baguio City came up with unique dishes to celebrate this special day.
Baker Angela Doria takes pride in what she calls her "edible garden." She makes cookies out of edible flowers and leaves such as dill and carrots.
Chef Dyna Gonzales, meanwhile, has created a special Valentine's Day menu for her restaurant Lihim ni Maria using fresh rose petals, which she boils and uses in dishes like Vanilla Rose Ice Cream, Rose in Green Tea Ombre, Romantic Butterscotch in Rose Float, Pink Lady Lemonade, Rose Latte and Pasta Rosa.
"May mga flowers talaga na edible so iyon iyong ginawa ko," Gonzales shared.
Meanwhile, Le Monet Hotel in Camp John Hay has a romantic garden setup where they serve specialty cakes such as their the heart-shaped white chocolate cheesecake and macaroons with a matching love quote.
Not so far from the hotel is a food camp serving Japanese, American, Mexican, Filipino, and Chinese food. Aside from giving their visitors a food trip around the world, the food camp also features a bonfire and camping area for their visitors.
