Light to heavy rainfall warnings were sent out by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) as Tropical Storm Gorio affected the country from Wednesday to Thursday.

Although it did not make landfall, the tropical storm enhanced the southwest monsoon or habagat, which brought heavy rainfall within its 300-kilometer diameter.

The heavy downpour caused flooding in several areas, prompting most Local Government Units (LGUs) to suspend classes in Metro Manila and nearby areas. The national government also suspended work in public offices in the national capital region.

Here are select images of the flooding in Metro Manila and Bulacan on Thursday morning.
