President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday listened to the concerns raised by more than 200 farmers occupying Mendiola at the foot of Malacañang Palace.

The farmers belonging to the Madaum Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association Incorporated (Marbai) want Duterte to enforce an order on lands held by Lapanday Foods Corporation in Tagum City.

Duterte, accompanied by Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano, invited the farmers to a dinner at the Manila Hotel.

He also promised plane tickets to the farmers so they can easily return home to Davao del Norte.
