For most of us, mothers are the closest thing to angels on earth.

They carried us for nine months, just like Mary the mother of Christ. They cared for us when we could not yet feed ourselves or stand on our own two feet.

The bathed us, played with us, cared for us when we were sick, put us to bed, cried with us and would probably even take a bullet for us.

They grew old with us, until eventually they are to old to care for us physically, but even then in their ripe age and we are all adults, a mother's presence is there to comfort us more than the other way around.

Well maybe, short of an angel, they are heaven sent.
