MANILA – Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla stressed that they are extremely grateful to Angel Locsin for agreeing to return to "La Luna Sangre" and play a pivotal role on the primetime series.

This is why Padilla and Bernardo said there is no reason for people to bash Locsin online, adding that they appreciate the support she has given to them since day one.

Very humbling 'yung feeling namin.

Besides, the two acknowledged that the success of “La Luna Sangre” is based on their collective effort.

“Gusto natin mag-unite lahat kasi iisang show lang naman tayong lahat. Kami personally with Ms. Angel, with Mr. Richard Gutierrez, okay 'yung relationship namin.

Since they are already doing their part in campaigning against cyberbullying, Padilla called on their fans to also step up and help them in their advocacy.

Instead of spreading hate, Bernardo encouraged netizens to put social media to a good use.

Merong positive and negative na effect. Sobrang powerful ng social media sa lahat. Naaapektuhan nun 'yung tao kung paano siya for that day. Kagaya noon, may nabasa akong exchange of tweets ng magkaibang fan groups. Bakit kailangang gamitin ang social media to make others feel bad or bakit kailangan magsiraan?” she said.

What’s important, Padilla stressed, is for people to never forget the value of respect.

Iyan ang pinakakailangan natin ngayon at pagmamahal sa kapwa natin,” he said.

REMAINS GRATEFUL

Despite the unfortunate things happening on social media, Padilla and Bernardo are looking forward to finally sharing scenes with Gutierrez and Locsin on the show.

“Iyan naman talaga ang hinihintay natin. Sila naman ang nagsimula nung show. Hindi pa kami nagkakasama-sama talaga. Nagkasama lang nung bata pa si Malia. Imagine na lang kung magkakasama na kaming apat, dahil sa totoong buhay naman, out of ‘La Luna,’ magkakaibigan kami ng sobra,” Padilla said.

With the high ratings “La Luna Sangre” is currently enjoying, Bernardo said there are still a lot of exciting revelations that viewers should watch out for in the coming episodes.

Bernardo credited the entire "La Luna Sangre" team’s love and passion for the project for its success.

Of course our directors and our fight directors also, lahat ginagawa siya with love. Kaya siguro kapag napapanood niyo, nakikita iyon ng viewers,” she said.

“La Luna Sangre” airs on ABS-CBN from Monday to Friday after “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
