Dreamscape is adding to the cast of "Ang Probinsyano," which stars Coco Martin.
It was announced Thursday that screen veterans Lito Lapid, Sid Lucero, and John Arcilla will all be lending their talents to the hit cop drama, which is based on the 1997 Fernando Poe Jr. film of the same name.
A former senator, Lapid, who has starred in numerous action films, was last seen in television back in the 2013 drama "Little Champ." Lucero and Arcilla, meanwhile, were in shows by a rival network.
In addition, Angel Aquino, Ejay Falcon, "It's Showtime" host Jhong Hilario, comedians Long Mejia and Pokwang, and seasoned comic-singer Mitch Valdes will also be part of the show going forward.
Valdes expressed her excitement on social media over what she says is her first teleserye project. "Yes, I'm finally doing a teleserye!" she said.
Based on the photos from Dreamscape, it appears child star Awra Briguela will be reprising his role for the series, along with Yassi Pressman, who plays the love interest of Martin's lead character.
"Ang Probinsyano" has been extended until January 2018.
