MANILA -- After all the brouhaha over whether she will be leaving the Philippines for good, rumors about money problems, and an alleged affair her husband had, Sharon Cuneta just wants her body clock to adjust quickly as she readies herself for work.
Cuneta arrived home from her trip to the US Wednesday afternoon. She was welcomed by her children, whom she described as the only people she would die for in a rather emotional post-Mother's Day message.
"Glad to be home. Really missed my children. Sad to be away from the U.S., though. Mabuhay!" she wrote.
Cuneta also shared photos of the welcome banners her kids readied for her: "These are what I came home to today as I stepped out of the elevator to our condo. Oh, LOVE."
It was then followed with a post saying that her plan for the rest of the day is to sleep as filming for her upcoming independent movie project will begin this weekend. "Mahirap po umakting lalo na for the first time in so many years -- nang TULOG," she quipped.
Cuneta made headlines this week since clearing up the several rumors that plagued her US trip.
One of them was that her marriage with Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan was on the rocks, if we were to believe speculations that her husband is cozying up to Sen. Risa Hontiveros.
She said that if Pangilinan has had or will ever have an affair, she would most definitely not discuss it in public.
Cuneta also dismissed rumors that she is bankrupt, and that she will be staying in the US for good.
Early this month, the coach of "The Voice Teens" flew abroad for a short break, saying she has been going through "way too much pain and fatigue in the past few weeks."
