Fans of Freddie Mercury and Queen are finally getting a first look at the long in the making film about the charismatic lead singer and his band.
"Bohemian Rhapsody," starring Rami Malek as Mercury, traces the rise of the band through their songs and sound to superstardom, only to see Mercury step away from the group in pursuit of a solo career. Failing to achieve similar solo stardom, Mercury reunites with Queen just in time for Live Aid.
After a battle with AIDS, Mercury died in 1991.
The film had been in development since at least 2010, when Sacha Baron Cohen signed on to play Mercury.
Creative differences between surviving band members including guitarist Brian May, reportedly pushed Baron Cohen off the project.
Health issues forced first director Bryan Singer off the film, to be replaced by "Eddie the Eagle" director, Dexter Fletcher.
"Bohemian Rhapsody will be released in the UK on October 24 and the US on November 2.
