MANILA - Soul Diva Jaya is happy that she was given the chance to be a judge in the hit talent contest "Tawag ng Tanghalan" on the ABS-CBN noontime program "It's Showtime."
In an interview on ANC's "Headstart" hosted by Karen Davila on Friday, Jaya said she feels fortunate to work with fellow judges Erik Santos, Yeng Constantino, Rey Valera and Ogie Alcasid, among others.
"I'm very, very fortunate because the kind of grace I'm getting now, it's pretty deep, it's kinda intense also. I'm just saying that I never thought I will be doing this, and this is a very successful noontime show," she said.
"For example, I went to Hawaii just recently. All these people in different malls, different stores, they know me as a hurado (judge). So I'm very excited and I'm very, very thankful," she added.
Jaya went on to share that she dreams of doing a concert with her fellow "Tawag" judges.
"Why not the hurados do a tour? Alam niyo na po," she said.
Jaya is also hoping to perform with Lani Misalucha and Lea Salonga.
The singer is promoting her upcoming show, "Jaya: No Boundaries," on May 12 at the Music Museum.
