MANILA – Piolo Pascual broke down at the press conference of his upcoming movie “Northern Lights: A Journey to Love” on Monday.
This, after Regal Films matriarch Lily Monteverde read her letter for Pascual, narrating the actor’s kindness to his co-workers while they were still doing the film.
According to Monteverde, on the last shooting day of “Northern Lights: A Journey to Love,” Pascual shared his talent fee with the entire staff and crew.
“Na-iyakan ang mga taga production sa surpresa niya sa kanila. They love him to death,” she said.
Monteverde then reassured Pascual of her family’s support for the actor.
“We will always be behind you, Papa P. You have our support all the way. We love you too,” she said.
Aside from Pascual, “Northern Lights” also stars Yen Santos and child actor Raikko Mateo.
In the movie, Pascual plays a father striving to fix his relationship with his estranged son.
This seemingly straightforward father-son movie gets complicated when the dad falls in love with a heartbroken woman looking to start fresh in a new country.
"Northern Lights: A Journey to Love" is set in a picturesque town in Alaska, where auroras can be seen frequently. It is directed by Dondon Santos and will open in cinemas nationwide on March 29.
