MANILA – KZ Tandingan is back in Manila after her successful Week 5 performance in “Singer 2018,” a reality singing competition in China.

Last Friday, Tandingan performed Adele's smash hit "Rolling in the Deep" that gave her a standing ovation and the number one ranking for the episode.

Upon her arrival on Sunday, Tandingan said she is still in cloud nine after earning unanimous praise from netizens and not just Filipinos.

'Yung fact pa lang na na-invite ka to perform doon, out of the many singers they could have chosen, sobrang saya,” she said.

Tandingan also revealed that she has already taped the next episode of the show and while everything is still top secret, the singer teased what viewers could expect from her upcoming performance.

“I’m gonna do something I’ve never done before. I’m gonna sing something I’ve never sung before. Ito yata ang isa sa pinakamahirap kong ginawa sa buong career ko,” she said.

Tandingan also candidly shared that she and Jessie J have become 'soul sisters' as they shared stories and ideas in the music industry. Since they are the only non-Chinese contestants in the group, Tandingan said they would always chat and talk to each other.

Week 6 is a crucial week for Tandingan because as a challenger, she needs to get a high average from the combined scores of Weeks 5 and 6, for her to advance and become a regular contestant.

When asked if she feels the pressure of carrying the Philippine flag, she said: “Oo naman po.
