MANILA – Robin Padilla does not regret the way he talked to Kim Jiwan, a 20-year-old Korean who auditioned on “Pilipinas Got Talent.”

During its Saturday episode, Padilla criticized Jiwan for not learning how to speak Filipino despite living in the country for most of his life.

Ikaw ang makikibagay,” he told reporters on Saturday.

Padilla said he does not understand how someone who has been living in the country for 10 years still can't speak Tagalog.

Padilla said it also does not add up that Jiwan professes his love for the Philippines but does not know the language.

In the end, Padilla clarified that he was just giving the 20-year-old Korean an advice.

Tandaan mo iyan. Mayroon akong kilalang Korean, si Ryan Bang, mas magaling pa sa akin mag Tagalog.’ Yun lang naman. Advice ko lang sa kanya,” he said.

Despite what happened, Jiwan will be moving past the auditions after getting three yeses, with the only no coming from Freddie Garcia, who explained that he didn't do anything particularly new.

Meanwhile, Padilla has a message to his bashers who do not agree with his stand.

“Ganun talaga. Mahalin nila 'yung Korean kung gusto nila. Wala namang problema sa akin 'yun eh. Magpakamatay sila sa Korean kung gusto nila. Wala naman problema sa akin 'yun,” he said.
