MANILA -- Concentrix Philippines launched Network of Women (NOW) through its first symposium held at UP Ayala Technohub site in Quezon City last July 28.

Isa Garcia, English teacher, author and co-founder of a mentoring program for young girls called The Better Story Project, and Kat Gumabao, plus-size model, make-up artist and positivity advocate, were the event speakers. They talked about the importance of recognizing women in the workplace and how they contribute in driving success.

The two speakers’ contrasting personalities yet complementing ideas and advocacy saw an insightful and high-spirited symposium, which was attended by almost 200 staff. They shared their views on gender equality, breaking stereotypes and empowering the self.

The energetic Gumabao gave her thoughts on how society dictates women’s perception of themselves. Based on her personal experiences, she then gave tips on how women as individuals can find inspiration within.

NOW is a global community of women from various roles, responsibilities and geographies within the Concentrix organization. Its objectives are to build diversity by empowering women, invest in their future and accelerate their career aspirations.

The talk is just the first of Concentrix Philippines’ NOW series aimed at enabling, engaging and empowering women in the workplace and beyond.
