MANILA -- "From zero to hero."
This is OPPO's success story in the country as told by its chief operating officer, Ananda Pan, during the launch of its newest smartphone unit F3 at Conrad Hotel in Pasay City.
Present in the jam-packed event are OPPO's executives, dealers, brand ambassadors and members of the press.
In his welcome remarks, Pan recalled how OPPO grew from a small tech company with 30 square meters of office space to landing the second spot in the country's list of smartphone companies with highest unit share and sales value.
It took them three years of continuous product development and marketing campaigns to reach this point. Currently, they have provided over 6,000 jobs in the Philippines alone.
FROM 'SELFIE' TO 'GROUFIE'
Sensitive to the ever-evolving demands of a tech-savvy generation, OPPO takes a shift from being the "selfie expert" to becoming the "groufie" phone.
OPPO Philippines marketing manager Stephen Cheng said the brand always aims to cater to the needs of their market by reinventing mobile experience through their smartphones.
"Filipinos are known for our strong relationships with family and friends," quips Cheng. "With a phone like the F3, it becomes easier for us to turn every ordinary events into special moments with the people we love best."
The OPPO F3 is equipped with a 16-megapixel selfie-focused main camera and a wide angle sub-camera that enables one to take "groufies" without compromising composition.
Just like the earlier model F3 Plus, the OPPO F3 has distortion-minimizing features that prevent image warping. It is also equipped with OPPO's signature Beautify 4.0 software that gives your selfies a fresher look without making it seem overly edited.
With these innovations, one no longer has to bring a selfie stick to capture the best view and include the whole gang when taking selfies during a trip. All you have to do is to capture the moment with the "groufie" camera and make your best pose.
The "groufie" camera provides a photo size that is twice the size of a selfie camera's field of view.
The OPPO F3 is also powered with an octa-core processor backed by 4GB of RAM and a whopping 64GB ROM, enabling you to keep as many photos as you want. It also has room for a micro SD card that is expandable up to 128GB, just in case you're planning to take thousands of "groufies" in a day.
The back camera, meanwhile, is powered by PDAF technology that makes it capable of fast focusing speeds to capture moving subjects without inducing a blurred effect.
Beyond these, OPPO continues to outdo its competitors by making the F3 superbly beautiful inside and out.
F3's aluminum case has also undergone fine sandblasting treatments that made its delicate and polished look natural and exquisite.
Available in gold and rose gold color, you can now purchase the OPPO F3 from OPPO concept stores and dealer stores nationwide. For more details, check out their Facebook account or log on to www.oppo.com/ph/index.html.
