Megatrade Hall, one of the pioneers in the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions industry (MICE), is undergoing a major overhaul starting the month of January to upgrade its facilities.
Target month of completion will be by mid-March, in time for all the events lined up and confirmed as early as December of last year.
For the last 25 years, Megatrade Hall has remained steadfast with its regular clients from the government, educational, corporate and media sectors. The annual trade events of the Department of Trade and Industry, bridal fairs, cosplay events, job fairs, bazaars, seminars and other consumer events fill up the trade hall’s calendar year after year.
The renovation of the trade halls will include improvements on Halls 1-3 entrance, LFD portals, Meeting Rooms A & B, and reception lobby. The refurbishment of the facilities is seen to make it more competitive in the market and remain relevant in the MICE scene especially among the key industry players in the area.
Some of the remarkable events held in Megatrade Hall were Fashion Outlet Sale, Sikat Pinoy National Food Fair, Manila Sundance Bazaar, Trendsetters Bazaar, Mega Brands Sale and Shoes and Bags Sale.
The Megatrade Hall was also home to Toycon since the early 2000s until 2015, when it was moved to the much bigger halls of SMX Convention Center Manila the following year, due to the event's significant growth.
This year sees more promising and exciting events after the rebirth of the Megatrade Hall.
