An international book fair is set to further fuel the Philippines' flourishing book scene, enticing avid readers to devour its wide selection of affordable reading material.

The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, touted as one of the world's biggest and most affordable fairs, is set to happen in February at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, organizers announced.

It will be the first time that Filipino readers will get to experience the sale, which will be open 24/7 from February 16 to 25, 2018. Admission will be free.

Bookworms will be able to choose from over 2 million fiction, non-fiction, and children's books, offered at discounts of up to 80 percent.

Aside from books, big surprises also await readers, including a meet and greet with Kapamilya celebrity authors.

Aside from shopping, however, readers will have the opportunity to help the less fortunate --they can shop for books that will be given to selected public schools to start their very own libraries through the "Library in a Box" effort led by ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation and DZMM TLC.

Not to be mistaken for the scary creature that devoured 'Little Red Riding Hood,' Big Bad Wolf aims to bring readers the very best books at affordable prices.

It has previously held book sales in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
